Parking is free for guests attending Commencement-related activities in all USC-owned structures (on both campuses) on Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17. Please note that you must still stop at the parking attendant’s booth to receive a parking permit. Overnight parking is not allowed with a daily permit.
On-Campus Transportation
For guests with disabilities, we offer a shuttle service stopping at selected tram stops on campus. Because of the challenges in navigating vehicles around 40,000 people on campus, it can be difficult to guarantee that a tram will make a given stop at a given time; the trams instead make a loose, untimed, repeated round of all stops.
It is recommended that you bring or check out a wheelchair if you have a member of your party that may have trouble walking.
Unfortunately, due to liability restrictions, students or staff driving electric carts on campus are not allowed to offer rides to any university guests.
Off-Campus Transportation
Trams travel between campus and several satellite locations. Please note there is no scheduled tram service from any hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Please click here to find the 2013 tram schedule.
Parking Center: the Parking Center, just east of campus at the corner of Jefferson Boulevard and Grand Avenue, has trams running back and forth to campus every 10 to 20 minutes.
Union Station: trams ferry guests between Union Station (Patsaouras Transit Plaza, Berth/Station #4) and campus (Jefferson Boulevard at Hoover Street).
Health Sciences Campus: trams travel between the University Park Campus (Jefferson Boulevard at Hoover Street), and the HSC (Eastlake on the corner of San Pablo).
Rental Cars
USC Transportation has partnered with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and has a branch located on campus in Parking Structure X. The campus office is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Contact them directly at (213) 741-5216.
