Graduates and guests,

We are excited to host you for USC’s 2024 commencement academic ceremonies and celebrations which begin May 8. Please read the following carefully for logistics guidance and refer to the FAQ section of USC’s commencement site for any questions.

Tickets

Tickets are required for all commencement events. Graduates, if you haven’t downloaded tickets for yourself and your guests, please do so as soon as possible. Full instructions are available here.

Parking

Parking at the University Park Campus (UPC) is extremely limited. Use of rideshare and public transportation options are highly encouraged. Please see the Transit and Parking Page for more details.

Wednesday, May 8:

Parking can be found at any available campus and campus adjacent parking structure.

Thursday, May 9 through Friday, May 10:

Campus and campus adjacent parking options include Royal Street parking structure (ADA accessible), Figueroa Street structure, Flower Street structure, and the USC Shrine structure. The Grand Avenue parking structure, on the corner of Jefferson Boulevard and Grand Avenue, is also recommended for all degree candidates, their families, and guests. Parking at the Coliseum will be complimentary for those attending ceremonies on Friday, May 10. The McCarthy parking structure will be closed to all inbound vehicular traffic.

For those attending the Trojan Family Graduate Celebration at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Thursday, campus and campus adjacent parking structures are complimentary. Coliseum parking on May 9 will be available at a rate of $25.

Saturday, May 11:

The Figueroa Street structure and the USC Shrine structure are suggested. The McCarthy parking structure will be closed to all inbound vehicular traffic.

Security

Clear bags are required on May 10 and 11. Attendees may only enter with a bag that adheres to the clear bag policy. Similar to security checks at Trojan football and basketball games, all persons and their belongings will be subject to metal detector screening and bag inspection prior to entering campus.

Accessing Campus and Commencement Events

Please allow ample time to park and make your way through security lines. To avoid potential delays, we recommend you arrive at least two hours prior to your ceremony. There will be hospitality areas in a variety of places to sit, rest, and hydrate in the shade.

Wednesday, May 8:

  • Ticket required for all registered guests to enter secure campus perimeter.

Thursday, May 9:

  • Ticket required for all registered guests to enter secure campus perimeter and off campus locations like the Galen Center or the Coliseum for USC’s Trojan Family Graduate Celebration.
  • You must enter campus through one of five designated entry points to have your mobile ticket scanned (refer to the five pedestrian entrances noted on this map).

Friday, May 10:

  • Ticket required for all graduates and registered guests to enter secure campus perimeter, as well as the following venues: Galen Center, Shrine Auditorium, Bing Theatre, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and USC Village Great Lawn.
  • Secure campus perimeter access will begin at 8:00 a.m.
  • Metal detector screeningticket, and clear bag required for anyone entering campus.
  • You must enter through one of five designated entry points to have your mobile ticket scanned (refer to the five pedestrian entrances noted on this map).

Saturday, May 11:
