ADA Parking Reservations

Guests requiring ADA parking are encouraged to pre-register for a parking space at the Royal Structure on Friday, May 16, by using our ADA Parking Reservation Link. A valid state-issued ADA placard or license plate must be presented to the gate attendant for verification.

For parking in other campus structures on different days, please visit our Transit and Parking webpage. ADA parking spaces in these structures will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Accommodations

We are committed to ensuring that all graduates and guests have an accessible and enjoyable Commencement experience. All ceremony venues will include designated accessible seating areas.

For Academic School Ceremonies, graduates or guests who require accommodations are encouraged to contact the coordinator for the graduate’s school to request the necessary arrangements. Contact information for each school can be found on the Academic School Ceremonies webpage.

Accommodations at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

For those attending a ceremony at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, we recommend reaching out to the Coliseum’s accessibility team as soon as possible at lamcinfo@usc.edu to arrange accommodations and ensure a smooth experience.

Graduates using a wheelchair or experiencing mobility difficulties for the Main University Ceremony on Thursday, May 15th, can access the procession through an accessible entrance. Please note that the Coliseum may have uneven terrain and require a significant amount of walking, so we encourage graduates to plan accordingly.

For guest information about ADA at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, please visit the ADA Information webpage.

Wheelchair Loans

The University will provide a limited number of courtesy wheelchair loans on Friday, May 16 on the main USC campus. Wheelchairs are available for checkout on a first-come, first-served basis, free of charge, on the Taper Hall Lawn off Trousdale Parkway near W 34th and Trousdale Pkwy. Checkout begins at 7:30am and all wheelchairs must be returned by 8pm on Friday, May 16.

Please note that the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum does not loan wheelchairs and instead, has a wheelchair transport program. Guests may contact lamcinfo@usc.edu for additional information.

For those who may find walking challenging, we encourage bringing or renting a wheelchair or personal mobility device.

Live Captioning

Closed captioning will be available for all live-streamed ceremonies. For individual school ceremonies, please contact your school coordinator to confirm accessibility options.

During the Main Commencement Ceremony at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, closed captioning will be displayed on the venue screens. Captions will also be accessible via the live stream, with a link available on usc.edu on the morning of the event.

Courtesy Shuttle Service

Please note that there is a considerable walking distance between parking areas and ceremony locations. To assist guests with limited mobility, a courtesy shuttle will be available on Friday May 16th, making continuous stops at designated locations on campus. However, due to high pedestrian traffic, shuttle arrival times may vary. Additionally, a limited-time golf cart service will supplement the courtesy shuttles to provide extra assistance.

For those who may find walking challenging, we encourage bringing or borrowing a wheelchair or personal mobility device.
