As you plan your visit to USC Commencement, you’ll find a wide range of dining options and nearby accommodations to make your experience comfortable and convenient. From quick bites between ceremonies to full-service meals for family celebrations, campus and USC Village restaurants will be open with special hours throughout Commencement Week. If you’re traveling from outside the area, we recommend booking accommodations early, as hotels near campus and in surrounding neighborhoods fill up quickly.

Dining Options at USC

Campus Dining will offer a variety of meal options at locations across campus during Commencement, including the food court at the Ronald Tutor Campus Center. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a full meal, there’s something for everyone. Special hours of operation for Commencement Week can be found on the USC Hospitality website.

Full Service Restaurants

USC Hospitality offers several full-service dining options during Commencement. Dining options are also available at the USC Village.

  • McKay’s (at the USC Hotel) will be open for all-day dining
  • The University Club (at Trousdale and West 34th Street) will serve lunch and dinner, with expanded service in the lounge.
  • The Lab on Figueroa Boulevard is available exclusively for private events — a great option for family gatherings or group celebrations. To reserve The Lab, call 213-740-5956.
  • Moreton Fig will not offer table service but will be open for coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches

Water Stations

Several tables across campus will be selling bottled water during Commencement. As temperatures can reach the 80s or 90s, staying hydrated is important. While personal water bottles are not permitted, factory-sealed bottles are allowed.

Free water fill stations will also be available throughout campus. Please note that water may not be allowed inside all indoor venues.


Accommodations

If you’re traveling from outside the Los Angeles area for Commencement, we highly recommend booking accommodations early.

  • The USC Hotel, located next to the University Park Campus, is the closest option for guests.
  • Visit Discover Los Angeles for a comprehensive listing of hotels, organized by price, location, and amenities. When searching, select “Downtown/LA Metro” for the nearest adjacent neighborhood to USC. Other popular visitor areas — including Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Pasadena — offer a range of hotels at various price points.
